The van, aptly named “Urvana,” will be used to bring park district programming to the community. The park district will be bringing “community, outreach, wellness, education, and environmental programs” to neighborhoods through scheduled programming, as well as through pop up events.
Urvana has a new Facebook page, which you can follow to see where it will be headed in the future. This week they are distributing Boredom Buster Bags for kids in Urbana neighborhoods. The next distribution site will be Friday, July 10th , from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. at King Park.
