The Land Connection has added WIC and Senior FMNP benefits to the Champaign Market

The Land Connection has been accepting SNAP at the market for a while now, and now thanks to a partnership with United Way of Champaign County, they will be adding WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) and Senior FMNP (Farmers Market Nutrition Program) into the mix.

Beginning with today’s Champaign Market, they will be triple matching the WIC and Senior FMNP vouchers. According to their Facebook page, “if you bring your WIC or Senior FMNP booklet to the market, we will give you a stack of $5 vouchers to use on fresh fruit and vegetables at the Champaign Farmers Market this summer. WIC participants will receive $40 in vouchers and Senior FMNP participants will receive $50 in vouchers.”

There are limited funds, so this will be offered on a first-come first-served basis.
