Mayor Deb Feinen has once again designated a Downtown Festival District to coincide with Friday Night Live. From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. this Friday, June 21st, you can grab your drink and go from participating downtown establishments. Those bars that choose to participate will give you a wristband and your beverage in a plastic cup, then you are free to roam within the district boundaries and check out some live music.
My spouse and I enjoyed this freedom during the first go around back in May. We grabbed our slushes at Watson’s and spent some time at One Main Plaza before meandering over to the new spot at Market and University after grabbing our next drink at Pour Bros.
According to Feinen, if all goes will this week, the Festival District will become a regular occurrence during the weekly Friday night event.
