Spindependence returns to get C-U dancing for Independence Day

After a year-long hiatus, Spindependence, the beloved music festival celebrating both Independence Day and the vibrant DJ culture of Champaign-Urbana, is back. This year, the festival partners with the City of Champaign and Pour Bros. Taproom to bring two days of the area’s best DJs to downtown Champaign on July 5th and 6th. The festivities kick off at 8 p.m. on Friday, July 5th, at Pour Bros. and the new Beat stage, right after Friday Night Live. On Saturday, July 6th, the party continues from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m., promising an immersive musical experience in the streets of Downtown Champaign.

Expect unmatched vibes and top DJ talent, with live video projection art by Matt Harsh enhancing the performances. Both nights require attendees to be 19 or older after 9 p.m., so remember to bring your ID along with your dancing shoes. The pre-party at Gallery Art Bar on June 29th will set the stage for this main event to wrap up Independence Day weekend. Best of all, admission is free!
