James Treichler has been inducted as a voting member of the Recording Academy for the 2024 class. Treichler, a local recording and sound engineer, took to Facebook recently to announce the news and comment on his journey. Treichler expressed his excitement, recalling his admiration for Mark Rubel’s Grammy involvement during his time at Pogo Studio and crediting Lamont Holden for broadening his understanding of the Grammys’ community role.
Treichler has produced albums for local artists, organized community events, and mentored emerging talents at Pogo Studio and Wave Upon Wave Studio. Treichler is now eager to bring more national attention to the Midwest and C-U music scene.
