Kajiken restaurant will open soon on Green Street in the space that was once Teamoji, a quick service spot for bubble tea and Korean hot dogs. The new restaurant is a chain that originated in Nagoya, Japan and is famous for aruba soba, or soupless noodles. The aruba soba bowl options include noodles with chasu and scallions, noodles with pork and egg, noodles with shrimp and lemon, noodles with chicken and crunchy chili, noodles with beef and onion, noodles with curry and poached egg, and a vegan bowl of noodles, edamame, fried onion, tomato, and tofu.

The menu also offers appetizers like gyoza, deep-fried oysters, deep-fried tofu, cucumber-octopus salad, and more in addition to rice bowls, noodles in ramen broth, and dessert crepe cakes.

The Japanese restaurant Kajiken’s first location in the United States opened in 2022, and our Champaign location will be one of only a few locations nationwide. For more, check out the Chicago location’s menu.
