Just say yes to the spring bowls at Just BEE Açaí

I am loving the warm weather and all the springtime vibes we’ve been having lately. One fun thing that spring brings is the seasonal launch of Just BEE Açaí‘s adorable açaí cart. Every Saturday, find the little white truck around town, sometimes parked on Lincoln Avenue in front of Japan House, sometimes at farmers markets, and also at local events.

The açaí truck’s 2024 debut was last Saturday with a new spring menu in addition to their regular menu of signature bowls and their Bee Unique custom bowl.

Of the four new spring bowls, I ordered the Bee O’Hana ($9) because it had both pineapple and kiwi, two of my favorite fruits.

Served with a wooden spoon, this new spring bowl had three bases (classic açaí, blue majik, and pitaya, a cactus fruit) and seven pretty toppings: kiwi, pineapple, macadamia nuts, honey, coconut, granola, and an edible flower. Cold, fresh fruit tasted so delicious with spoonfuls of the cold açaí, creamy blue majik, and seedy pitaya. I loved the sweet kiwi and all the bright, fresh flavors of this bowl with the crunchy elements. The coconut flakes were big shavings with a firm chew and added a tropical flavor that was so good with pineapple. And then the macademia nuts and housemade granola added a little salt and a lot of crunchiness.

I had the small size, but bowls can come in medium, large, or kids as well. Just BEE Açaí’s Hawaiian bowls take a few minutes because they’re making everything to order — and arranging it beautifully. If you see the cute açaí cart parked on Lincoln Avenue, I highly recommend stopping immediately to grab a bowl of açaí, walk the gardens around Japan House, and have a lovely spring moment.

The woman-owned business also has a cafe location inside the Union that will be open during lunch hours this summer. Take a look at the full açaí menu here. For real-time menu updates and peeks at specials, follow the business on Facebook and Instagram.
