CU Days is happening at Douglass Park this weekend, and Illinois Public Media will be there on Saturday, August 13th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. celebrating Be My Neighbor Day. If you stop by their tent with your young ones, they can meet Daniel Tiger and take a photo (my kids are older, but I know that Daniel Tiger is a very big deal). They can also make a card for a senior citizen, nurse, or teacher to practice “being a good neighbor.”
Illinois Public Media is partnering with Head Start to hand out free dental hygiene kits, socks, and take home activities for kids.
CU Days is a big family friendly event in itself, so there will be many other things to do and see after your Daniel Tiger visit. You can learn more about the event on the Champaign Park District website.
