The 2022 midterm election is coming up soon, so now is the time to check your voter registration status, whether you are a first time voter, have moved since the last time you voted, or just need to find out who is on your ballot or where your voting district is.
The Champaign County Clerk has a handy online tool, where you can enter your name and either your driver’s license number or last four digits of your social security number and it will give you all of that information.
If you need to register to vote, there are multiple ways to do so, which are detailed on the clerk’s website. Some important dates to note:
- October 11th- Last day to register using a paper form, by mail, or with a deputy registrar
- October 23rd- Last day to register online
- October 24th to November 8th- Grace period registration. You can register to vote and vote the same day at your polling place or voting center
