After a year of going Virtual, Diwali on the Quad is back in person this Saturday. From 6 to 10 p.m., you can light candles on the Quad, purchase Indian food, and enjoy a Bollywood DJ. The annual event is sponsored by the Indian Graduate Students Association at UIUC.
They’ve been slowy revealing the menu on the Facebook event page. They will be serving pav bhaji (thick vegetable curry with dinner rolls on the side), samosa chaat (samosa and chickpea curry with yogurt and chutney), and rajma chawal (masala kidney beans and rice).
