Led by Jason Finkelman, Improvisers Exchange is an initiative to bring together U of I students and community members to practice improvised music. It’s always a unique performance and anything could happen.
The Urbana Hootenanny

Every Monday at the Rose Bowl, come hang out with some great musicians. A sort of open mic meets song share, you can expect a variety of music and performers.

The Tumbleweeds

C4A’s Country music ensemble The Tumbleweeds are performing Tuesday evening, bringing bluegrass, western swing, and country rock.
Jupiter String Quartet, Kenneth Olsen

The incredible Jupiter String Quartet will be joined by the Chicago Symphony Assistant Principal Cellist Kenneth Olsen.

Adam Ezra Group

The Adam Ezra Group plays a fusion of folk, rock, pop, and soul. They’ve played alongside of groups such as Train, The Wallflowers, The Wailers, and more.

Here Come the Mummies, Sun Stereo

The always exciting embalmed funk rockers will be hitting the Canopy Club for a night of fun with the help of Sun Stereo.

OTNES, Primitive Lights, The Tomblands

OTNES brings a perfect blend of pop and indie rock to Rose Bowl for a hometown show. Joining them is psych folk rockers Primitive Lights and rock band The Tomblands.

Hot Iron String Band

New Twang City

Some good ole country honky tonk, you’re in for a night of fun at Huber’s with New Twang City.
Sinfonia da Camera

The always wonderful Sinfonia da Camera will be performing Rimsky-Korsakov, Walker, and Dvořák, with acclaimed pianist Rochelle Sennett joining the group.
Latin American Ensemble
►Smith Recital Hall // free // 7:30 p.m.
The Latin American Ensemble is a collaboration between the School of Music, and the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies. They’ll be playing music from Costa Rica, Perú, Ecuador, Brazil, Chile, Cuba, and the U.S.

Jasmine Field Orchestra

Made up of more than 70 members, this orchestra is a Western and Chinese symphony orchestra founded here in C-U. With an incredible number of musicians, this orchestra is one to hear.
