The Overture: August 17-23

While we encourage you to check out what’s happening in live music this week, please use precautions to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. If you are out and about, please wear a mask, social distance, wash your hands, and most importantly, respect the people around you, especially the employees that work at these establishments.

The Overture is a rundown of live music and performances happening in and around Champaign-Urbana each week. All of the information is as accurate as we can publish; however, all shows and performances are subject to change at any time. Thank you for understanding.

Did we miss something this week? Have a show coming up you think we should know about? Email us at [email protected] with the details.

The patio plays at Pour Bros continue this week with a scene staple in the Bashful Youngens. It appears that this will be a performance as a duo, which means you’ll be getting Carrie Chandler and Aaron Short on stage, which is a normal pivot for TBY and their alt-country selves.
