If you’re looking for a unique gesture for a special someone (or yourself!) this week, how about a song on the Altgeld chimes played just for them? February 13-15 the ringers will be doing a concert of love songs based on the requests they receive. It’s $2-5 per song, and you can fill out the request form here. Choices range from “99 Luftballoons” to “Moon River” to “I Want it That Way” by the Backstreet Boys. There are also international options and classic tunes that you often hear from the chimes.
The proceeds will go towards the upcoming 100th anniversary celebration, and they will release a schedule of songs once the sign up is closed so that you can make sure your person hears it.
