This team won a total of nine games out of 27 from 2016 to 2018. In 2017, we won ZERO Big Ten games. The last time we had a winning record in the Big Ten was 2007. We were on a four game losing streak, on our way to what looked like another disappointing season. Illini fans have become quite accustomed to disappointment.
Then, a win against #6 Wisconsin, wins against Purdue and Rutgers, and the biggest comeback in school history to beat Michigan State AND become bowl eligible? And now I’ve actually written about football TWICE in a month?
