Urbana’s Market at the Square to feature pumpkin decorating

Join Urbana’s Market at the Square and the Urbana Business Association this Saturday, October 25th from 9-11 a.m. for fun pumpkin decorating.  Purchase a locally grown pumpkin from one of the Market vendors, bring it to the decorating table at the northwest corner of the Market, and let your creativity flow!  The Market will supply everything you need to create a pumpkin masterpiece.  Participants will receive a free locally made sweet treat to enjoy while they decorate pumpkins (while supplies last).

Urbana’s Market at the Square is open from 7 a.m. to noon at the corner of Illinois and Vine Street in downtown Urbana.  There are two Markets left for the season, with the final Market for 2014 happening Saturday, November 1st.  Beginning November 8th, the Urbana Business Association will kick-off their 2013 Holiday Market, indoors at Lincoln Square. Learn more about Holiday Market at www.urbanabusiness.com.

The Market has been a mainstay of Urbana’s Saturday morning activities since the late 1970s, and is home to hundreds of vendors, all of whom grow or create their own fresh produce, plants, and flowers; farm products such as meat, cheeses, eggs, honey, and fresh baked goods and other prepared foods are also available. There also is a wide variety of art & crafts for sale.
