A century after being built, the iconic porch of the Urbana Free Library remains closed for fear of collapsing. This year, the Urbana Free Library Foundation is asking the community to contribute toward the replacement of the porch floors on the north and south side, and it is considered top priority.
The Library wishes to preserve the porch to its former glory and to ensure it a long future. The job is estimated at a potential cost of $100,000.
