Unit 4 board unanimously approved Black Lives Matter sign

At last night’s Unit 4 school board meeting, members unanimously voted in support of a sign referring to the resolution passed earlier this summer declaring racism a public health crisis.

Last month, the district ordered the removal of a Black Lives Matter sign in the window of a Westview School classroom. Before last night’s meeting, teachers, staff, and families marched from Westview to the Mellon Building in support of Black lives and the proposed sign.
