The Office of Volunteer Programs is hosting a Thanksgiving meal drive

As you are out and about doing your grocery shopping these next few weeks, maybe consider picking some items to provide someone with Thanksgiving dinner. 

The University of Illinois Office of Volunteer Programs is collecting food at various campus locations through November 15th. Here’s is what they’re looking for:

  • Gift cards from Meijer Supermarket, up to $25 for a turkey
  • Mashed potatoes
  • Brown gravy mix
  • Stuffing
  • Cake mix
  • Jiffy corn mix
  • Cranberry sauce
  • Green beans
  • Bring items in a recyclable shopping bag

Items can be brought to:

Illini Union- Information Desk (1st Floor, Northside)- through November 15th, 12 p.m.- 2 p.m.

Illini Union-Office of Volunteer Programs (Room 288)- through November 15th, 9 a.m.- 5 p.m.

Thomas M. Siebel Center for Computer Science-  11/5, 12 p.m. – 2 p.m.

University Housing-SDRP Lobby- November 8th, 12 p.m.- 2 p.m.

Your donations will go Stone Creek Church, Wesley Food Pantry, and the Food Pantry at St. John’s Catholic Newman Center.
