Homer Lake Interpretive Center and the Champaign-Urbana Astronomical Society are hosting an evening of star gazing on Saturday, October 2nd at Middle Fork River Forest Preserve. From 6:30 to 11 p.m., you’ll have an opportunity to view the sky and stars at a designated Dark Sky Park. There will be telescopes on hand so you can get a better view. Meet at the activity center for an introduction, then you'll make your way outside to view the stars.

The event is free and open to the public. Check the Facebook event page for more details.
