This year’s CSA Fair will be Saturday, February 29th, from 8 a.m. to noon at Lincoln Square Mall. The fair takes place at the same time as Market IN the Square, you can do some shopping and learn about summer CSA options simultaneously. Additional details are on the Facebook event page.
CSA stands for community supported agriculture. Basically, you pay a farmer some money now and during the harvest months (generally late May through October), you receive a share of the goods they produce. Around here there are many options for produce CSAs, but there are also ones for meat, eggs, flowers, and cheese.
