The Humanities Research Institute at Illinois (HRI) has recently released a sneak peek at their Fall 2021 event line-up. Featured writers and events include “Roxane Gay, Jericho Brown, and Tracy K. Smith in A Festival of Writers, “Symptoms of Crisis” and Legal Humanities speaker series, visionary musical performances, and more.”
Director Antoinette Burton also shared the following statement.
“In the midst of this uncertain season, the work of the humanities at Illinois feels like a steady drumbeat, signaling new patterns of work, imagination, and insight as we struggle to emerge out of the last eighteen months and into a whole new unknown.”
