University of Illinois Emeritus Professor Richard Powers‘ Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, The Overstory, will be adapted by Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and DB Weiss.
The Overstory is Powers’ 12th novel. IndieWire reports that Hugh Jackman is also an Executive Producer for the series, and may have a role in front of the camera, too. Other casting details are not available at this time. Benioff and Weiss exited the GoT series rather ungracefully, but Hugh Jackman is a gem. Here’s to hoping that these collaborators do justice to the novel.
