Folk outfit Rebecca Rego & The Trainmen have announced the release of a new album. Called Lay These Weapons Down, it will be the group’s first complete album since 2014’s Tolono. The expected drop date is October 21st, with a single to be released very soon.
RRT will be playing the first day of Pygmalion this year, at The Accord on September 16th. I’d venture to guess that they might be dropping a new tune or two at this show.
Information on this is sparse, as the whole thing is still shrouded in mystery. Keep an eye on the band’s Facebook page and their website to watch things unfold. In the meantime, enjoy them playing “What a Shame,” recorded at Tolono’s Earth Analog Studio a few years ago.
