Psychic Twin featured on Pitchfork’s CMJ Showcase picks

The ever infamous and argumentative music criticism platform Pitchfork published their “Pitchfork Guide to CMJ 2012” this morning, which displays the site’s showcase picks for this year’s music marathon in New York. C-U’s Psychic Twin was featured on the first day of picks.

CMJ showcases happen every year and hundreds of bands participate in the four day event all over the New York City area, so it’s pretty cool to see one of our own land on the first day of “picks” from Pitchfork.

Psychic Twin is playing tonight (Tuesday night, or Wednesday morning at 1:30 a.m. if you will) as a part of Lefse Records’ showcase with a handful of bands who have been featured pretty heavily on the site, which you can see to the right. Pretty awesome Psychic Twin is playing second to last, right before Mister Lies, a Chicago act who was given a huge “Rising” feature back in May.
