Production of Shakespeare’s Henry V on campus this week

Take advantage of free tickets and an innovative and compelling take on Shakespeare’s Henry V this Thurs through Sunday, Dec 3-6 at 7:30 at the Armory Free Theatre, Thursday being a preview with possible rehearsing.

Enter the west door of the venerable Armory building at the corner of East Armory and 6th Street and take a seat in the black box theatre, home to many experimental student productions, where you’ll be thrillingly close to the action. This production by the MFA acting studio is directed by Prof. Bob Anderson with battle scenes choreographed by Theatre Department chair, Prof. Robin McFarquhar.

It’s a one-hour fast-paced version of the classic story of King Hal of England taking to battle against France at Agincourt during the Hundred Years War. Enjoy a skilled cast delivering magnificent lines whose fire hasn’t dimmed since Shakespeare wrote them in 1599.
