MTD is continuing as an essential service during the stay-at-home order, with reduced service, but they will be boarding passengers differently to try to maintain social distancing as much as possible.
Passengers will be asked to board at the rear doors only, though if you use mobility devices, have mobility or vision impairments, are boarding with strollers, or have small children, you can continue to use the front door.
MTD is continuing to go “fare free” in order to eliminate any direct contact. They are also using larger buses and have backups ready in case capacity becomes an issue.
