Illinois' 13th Congressional District has been in Republican hands for a very, very, very, long time. Because while Champaign-Urbana is a solid blue dot with other pockets in Springfield and Decatur, IL-13 is largely rural and red. But this is an unusual year, and it seems that Republicans are starting to get a touch nervous about Rod's chances in November against Betsy Dirksen Londrigan. According to an article in the Washington Post, the giant super-PAC The Congressional Leadership Fund is dropping $1 million into Rod's race against Betsy — one of five new races they've chosen to focus on.

The tide seems to be a-turnin' here in IL-13.
