Linspyre, a local tech company based in Monticello, has begun offering e-waste collections for those living in Monticello, Champaign, Urbana, White Heath, Seymour, Bondville, and Savoy. Seems like a good option if you miss out on the bi-annual electronics recycling events.
They will come pick up your items, no need to drag all of your stuff to Monticello. Cost depends on how much you have. If your items can fit in a compact car, and you use the service no more than once a month, pick up is free. If you have intense e-recycling needs, it’ll cost you a bit.
They also wipe your hard drives for free to protect you from identity theft.
