It’s hard to imagine fall when it’s broiling outside right now, but soon you will be grabbing your rakes and bagging the leaves and such. Here’s what you need to know about the City of Champaign’s yard waste pickup this fall:
The City of Champaign Fall Yard Waste Collection program will run from October 14 through December 13, 2019.
No pickup dates are scheduled during the week of Thanksgiving.
Collection is available to all City of Champaign residential properties within City limits at no charge. This program provides a green alternative for yard waste disposal.
Residents may participate by placing bagged leaves or bundled branches and twigs at the curb no later than 6:00 a.m. on their scheduled collection date.
The city’s website has all of the guidelines that should be followed, so be sure to take a look before you do all of the work.
