Two Illinois students credit reddit with getting them together, inspire hashtag #ILLINOISlove.
The U of I’s blog shared this story about Brandon & Stephanie, two [r/uiuc] frequenters who crossed paths at a meetup and then reconnected through a “missed connection” post that Brandon wrote.
The two graduate students are in completely different colleges and would have had few chances to randomly meet, but bringing the online life into “IRL” (as it used to be called) connected the two…hopefully permanently. They got engaged at the gazebo and will be wedded at Silvercreek’s greenhouse.
It’s so adorable it kinda makes me want to push Seth into opening a “missed connections” section for SP. But only kinda.
