It appears that Corkscrew in Urbana will be going “underground” for a bit, according to their manager, Todd Fusco:

The jig is up. By jig I mean our lease and we need to find a new location. Unfortunate to say in the least, because we have perched here on the corner of Vine and Water for 15 years. I have grown accustomed to the scenic sights of the Schnucks parking lot. Plus the interesting collection of local denizens who play a real live version of Frogger crossing Vine. While the Corkscrew goes “underground” for awhile, we need to blow out our inventory and furnishings. Anything in the building that lacks a heart beat is fair game. Wine will be 15% off by the bottle and 20% off by the case. Beer and spirits will also be 15%. The sale does not apply to items in Buvons. Racks, glassware, and equipment will be priced to move. The sale starts today and continues until inventory is depleted.
