For those of you who frequent parks, the Champaign Park District has a pretty cool challenge for you.
Here’s how it goes: from April until September, the chance to win a prize will be given (monthly) to people who visit every one of Champaign’s playgrounds, and checked them off of a brochure (downloadable below) and turning that into any Champaign Park District facility.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: PARK DISTRICT ANNOUNCES PLAYGROUND CHALLENGE
CHAMPAIGN, IL – The Champaign Park District has announced a new competition for park goers – the Bucket List Challenge. Residents and visitors alike are encouraged to check off as many of the Champaign Park District’s 29 playgrounds as they can this spring and summer for a chance to win prizes.
Printed and downloadable brochures give the address and a brief note on each of the 29 playgrounds and includes a map on the back. Once each playground has been visited and checked off, bring your completed brochure into any Champaign Park District facility! Each participant will be entered to win a prize in a monthly drawing from April until September.
“We are very proud of our accessible playgrounds and wanted to find a unique way to encourage people to visit new parks.” said Joe DeLuce, Champaign Park District Executive Director. “I think this challenge will achieve that goal and will bring a ton of outdoor fun along the way!”
The Bucket List Challenge brochures will be available at each facility beginning April 1. All brochures being submitted for prizes must be fully completed and submitted to a Champaign Park District facility. Each child who participates will be entered separately, but may use the same brochure. Winners will be contacted by email, and may request a facility to pick up their prize.
