C-U Public Health District is offering a presentation on adolescents and healthcare

If you are a parent or guardian of adolescents between the ages of 11 and 18, then this presentation, happening Saturday, November 16th from 10 to 11 a.m., is for you.

The goal is to guide parents and guardians on how to educate their preteens and teens about the ins and outs of handling their own healthcare, so that they are prepared as they eventually transition to adulthood. From the event description:

It can be difficult to know how to properly prepare your child to navigate the health care system on their own. There are many different parts to teach them about from taking care of their own health, making doctor appointments, getting prescriptions from the pharmacy, and so much more. Our aim is to help make this process a little more clear.

Each person that attends will receive a guidebook that they can take home with them as well as the power point slides of the presentation.

The event is free, but please register here so that they know how many people to expect.
