How serendipitous is it that Record Store Day falls on 4/20 this year? Music and cannabis consumption go together like peanut butter and jelly, so it feels appropriate to partake a bit (perhaps a gummy made in Illinois?) before heading out on the town to find that vinyl gem your collection has been missing. There will be no shortage of the exclusive LPs available in Champaign-Urbana as we have three fine record stores to patronize on this special day. There are many exclusive Record Store Day releases available at all three stores, but be prepared to compete with an army of teenage girls for the Noah Kahan and Olivia Rodrigo collab 7″ single, as well as wrestling with the oldsters for rare exclusives from Talking Heads, David Bowie, Siouxsie and the Banshees and many, many more. Check out the Record Store Day web site for the complete list of what vinyl may be available for purchase this Saturday. All three stores open at 7 a.m. sharp this Saturday, so be there early for the good stuff.

See You CD and Vinyl gears up for its 9th Annual Record Store Day with the doors opening at 7 a.m. on Saturday. For the early birds, this event promises a treasure trove of limited edition RSD Exclusives featuring top artists, with the first 10 in line securing up to 5 guaranteed picks. This is a day when vinyl enthusiasts can indulge in an extensive collection of used records, freshly processed for the event. Highlights include a no-holds-barred approach with a strict one-copy-per-customer rule, making the hunt for rare vinyl even more thrilling. Plus, the first ten lucky customers will walk away with $25 gift cards, adding a cherry on top of this vinyl collector’s dream day.
