Canopy Club’s semester is getting ramped up after being dormant throughout the summer months for the most part. They’ve booked three pretty big shows this week, starting with electro-jam pioneers STS9 on Thursday evening. Beats Antique and Space Jesus are the last two, which you can read details about below.

Aaron Short of the Bashful Youngens will be performing on Saturday afternoon out at Sleepy Creek Vineyards. To my knowledge, Short doesn’t play a lot of solo shows — Bashful Yougens typically play full band or as a duo, so check this out on Saturday for free.

Sixteen Tons, Our Landmark

Cornhole tourney and rock show? Sign me up. Earlier in the day, there’s a cornhole tournament by Uptown Concrete Design (double elimination style!), and later on, a couple of local rock bands will play. There’s a happy hour-time DJ outside alongside the tournament, and the bands perform inside afterwards.
