I can’t believe it has already been two years since Whitey Morgan performed at the Accord — and if you remember, there was a huge snowstorm that night. Super fun and sweaty show, and if you missed that one, you should consider going to the Castle on Friday night for his next trek through Central Illinois. Morgan performed at PYGMALION back in 2015 as well.

This Saturday is the 50th birthday for the Red Herring in Urbana, so this oughta be a party. They’ll have live music, as you can see listed above, plus storytellers and poets talking about the history of the Herring from the half century. There’s a $10 suggested donation, but if you can’t swing it, they aren’t gonna turn you away. There will be tons of food and raffle prizes to check out as well.
